7 Days Before Double Eyelid Surgery: Prep That Changes the Result
Half of your result is made in the week before surgery. Alcohol, meds, lenses, even what to wear — organized day by day.
The surgery is your medical team's job — but the starting line of your recovery is built by you, in the week before. Just follow this in order.
D-7: Switch your body to recovery mode
- Stop alcohol and smoking. Blood flow and swelling recovery change noticeably.
- Tell your medical team about anything that can affect blood: aspirin, omega-3, vitamin E and similar supplements.
- Sleep well. Condition is recovery power.
D-3: Prepare the eye area
- Switch from contact lenses to glasses.
- Remove eyelash extensions or perms in advance.
- Pause other facial treatments such as lasers or peels around the eyes.
D-1: The day before
- Fasting rules depend on your anesthesia type — always confirm with the clinic.
- Arrange a companion and transport. You cannot drive right after surgery.
- Pack a hat and sunglasses — the trip home is much more comfortable.
The morning of surgery
- Come with no makeup, no lashes, no lenses.
- Wear a button-up or zip-up top that comes off without touching your face.
- Keep valuables to a minimum.

FAQ
**Can I drink coffee?** A small amount is usually fine, but skip it on surgery day. Your clinic's guidance comes first.
**What if it overlaps with my period?** Surgery is still possible, but swelling can be stronger. Message us if you want to adjust the schedule.
